Feeding On God's Faithfulness
Let the redeemed of the Lord, "say so" - when you experience or express the grace of God, you need to "say so." We're going to post testimonies that we receive, and you are encouraged to post yours here, too. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the "word of Christ" - the testimony of Jesus. Your stories of grace will encourage and inspire others to believe, and will promote a greater climate of faith-anticipation.

Christmas Giving
Heritage Church is giving food and gifts to honor families in need this year. In addition, we are happy to be a "base" for those who want to help do something kind for the Renee Matson family. Gifts may be brought to Heritage from 3pm to 8pm on Saturday, and from 9am to 3pm from Sunday, as well as business hours on Monday and Tuesday (Tuesday until 1:00pm).

Weekend recap
Great weekend at Heritage Church. Great turnout at all three services. Three specific testimonies coming into the weekend of healing, one of which a lady had been suffering with chronic pain for nearly 30 years - pain free and no more medications. Looking forward to all that is in store for Heritage Church as we live with anticipation.
It only gets better from here.

A mid-summer's life dream
When David Ellis spoke at Heritage Church, he explained that the mighty revival in Argentina has been going for nearly 30 years.
Shouldn't someone tell Argentina that the experts say Revival is temporary, and only lasts a few years?
I have prayed and sought God for revival my whole life - at times more passionately and joyfully than at other times. But having heard what David said, and then reading that the fire of the tabernacle in the dessert was, in effect, a 40 year miracle, this dream exploded in my heart and has become my mission: 40 years of fire. I wish to live and lead 40 years of revival. Redefining "normal" for generations to come.
40 years of fire - ablaze for God.
Who's with me?

Summer Time and Saturday Night
June 1st - even though the calendar says we have to wait until later in the month for summer to officially start - the summer schedule at Heritage has begun. This Weekend begins our new summer schedule of Saturday Night Church at 5:30, and Sunday Mornings at 9 and 11. We won't have regular Sunday evening services through the summer, except for some occasional special events and guests. Wednesday nights will take on a new purpose over the summer, too, with "Digging Deeper" for adults and "Here Comes Heaven" for kids. It is a great season to part of Heritage Church - hey, why not include someone else? Bring someone to church this weekend as we seek to Experience God in Worship and Fellowship, Equip people to learn and grow, and empower people so serve, fulfilling God's calling upon their lives.
Woot woot for Summer!

New things
Day 1 - The Anticipation of Ascension.
I pray that we can move from the place of defining expectations according to history and prior experience to the place of anticipation and imagination...
Luke begins Acts by recording that after Jesus' suffering, he presented himself alive to his disciples by many convincing proofs, and spoke to them about the kingdom of God. Imagine that season. No more fear of death or defeat. Here they were, on the precipice of a new day. They'd never been this way before. No one had. The resurrection and promise of the Father did/would change everything. The old rules were gone. The limitations, the fears, the routines... did not apply any more. The canvass of the future would not be painted with the brush-strokes of the past.
As we observe this season of Ascension and celebration of Pentecost, I pray that the same sense of wonder and anticipation will capture us and compel us to dream of new things.
