Generosity: The Voice of Love
Sunday Morning November 30th the congregation was given a challenge. The message that morning was about generosity. Generosity maximizes our life, helps others, and glorifies God. Generosity gives a "voice" to love. Anyone can (and should) be generous - regardless of how much or how little they have. All that is required for generosity is love. Every person was given a $5 bill and encouraged to mix it with love and do something generous. Over the next few days, I hope you'll share your stories here...
Looking forward!

I gave my $5 to a friend who I have been praying for to come back to Christ. I told her to buy a mocha & that I just loved her! I also used the opportunity to give her a invitation to the Ladies Christmas event :-)
Yay God!

this morning i went to starbucks and bought an extra drink for the secretary...she loved it! i made her day...she called me sweatheart and almost gave me a hug...hehe. it made me happy and makes me want to buy more starbucks for people. it gave me good feelers to make someone's day.
I mixed the $5 with my own $ and brought groceries/dinner to a family who is struggling. I believe it blessed them & shows them how God will continue to provide for them.
The Leon/Leisa Beck home group decided to pool our money together and apply it towards the Christmas food baskets.
It's truly a blessing when you can bless!

I waited by the Starbucks inside the Fred Meyer's in Fisher's Landing to buy a drink for the next person in line. I surprised a man by doing that, and he thanked me. I just said, "Hey, I'm just here to bless you." ...then the next woman in line asked sweetly if I was going to do the same. So I did...and the line kept getting longer. I gave her some of my own cash, blessed her, and left. It felt great to bless others, and it would have felt "broke" if I stayed any longer (Starbucks is expensive!). A truly remarkable experience. :)
